Join Kristin Peterson for an intimate, creative weekend in Idaho. In this immersive art experience, we will be creating a storied art journal using elementary binding principles that will create a quaint fragile-ness to our book. We will gather found prairie florals and explore cyanotype dying on fabric. We will distress our favorite fabrics to give them a forever- loved look and feel. We will mindfully create pages with hand sewn details and art marks of our own. All while being attentive to our overall book composition.

So bring your curiosity and sense of wonderment!

This class is suitable for all experience levels; you can have zero art experience and give yourself permission to play! You'll be amazed at what you can create. Together, we will create and tell our stories as makers.

Kristin Peterson is a third generation artist, originally from South Dakota. Kristin’s creative passion is inspired and supported by her husband and kids, all who encourage, critique, and promote her work.

Kristin is always exploring and expanding the creative depths of being an artist. She very much enjoys vintage collage work and mixed media. Kristin loves color and things that have a love-worn comfortable feeling-like an old favorite pair of jeans-coffee stained, patched, painted and well loved. She wants her art to project feeling and make people feel good while looking at it. Her style contains vibrance mixed with a little funk, which is sprinkled with discreet sensibility.

Our closest airports are:

-Pullman-Moscow Regional Airport (PUW)

-Spokane International Airport (GEG)

-Lewiston-Nez Perce County Regional Airport (LEW)

From Moscow, take HWY 8 East through Troy. Just past town, take a right up Little Bear Ridge Road. At the "T" turn right to stay on Little Bear Ridge Road. Travel 2.5 miles and watch for the sign on your right hand side. If you hit a gravel road, you've gone too far!

The Bee House Studio was originally built as a grain barn around 1915. This barn housed food stores for working animals on this original turn of the century homestead, but is now our working artist's studio and retreat house!

We have restored the barn to include a beautiful kitchen, full bathroom, class room, a master bedroom suite, and a cozy bunk and lounging room.

All classes and breakfast service will be offered in the Bee House.

Unfortunatley we are unable to offer refunds on events and workshops. All sales are FINAL SALE and no refunds will be issued after purchase. If you are unable to attend you may request to transfer your spot to the first person on our waitlist or gift it to a friend.
