The Botanist's Garden | A Mixed Media Art Retreat June 15th-18th, 2023

Workshops at Hunter Moon Homestead are all-inclusive. Tuition price includes lodging, meals and instruction. Select "Workshop Only" to arrange your own accomodations. Continue below for details:

The Botanist's Garden explores the powerful world of plants as an artist's medium. For 2 days you'll explore a variety of techniques to create multiple finished pieces, all with an emphasis on using floral details in your work.

"I have dreamed of the day where I could gather up old friends and new ones, to celebrate each other and nurture our creative spirits, for a very long time."

We will gather in the beautiful Palouse prairie on Hunter Moon Homestead to celebrate the abundance and beauty that surrounds us. We will collect botanical plant materials both native and cultivated, and use them in a variety of ways to explore and utilize our creative imagination.

We will play using eco plant dyes, botanical stencil applications, floral cyanotype, playful botanical illustrations, floral stamp making, and stitching to embellish our creations, and so much more play and creativity.

There is nothing more healing than taking time in nature to quiet your spirit and celebrate your beautiful creative soul.

-Lewiston-Nez Perce County Regional Airport (LEW)

From Moscow, take HWY 8 East through Troy. Just past town, take a right up Little Bear Ridge Road. At the "T" turn right to stay on Little Bear Ridge Road. Travel 2.5 miles and watch for the sign on your right hand side. If you hit a gravel road, you've gone too far!

The Bee House Studio was originally built as a grain barn around 1915. This barn housed food stores for working animals on this original turn of the century homestead, but is now our working artist's studio and retreat house!

We have restored the barn to include a beautiful kitchen, full bathroom, class room, a master bedroom suite, and a cozy bunk and lounging room.

All classes and breakfast service will be offered in the Bee House.

Unfortunatley we are unable to offer refunds on events and workshops. All sales are FINAL SALE and no refunds will be issued after purchase. If you are unable to attend you may request to transfer your spot to the first person on our waitlist or gift it to a friend.
