Spring Transitions | New Moon in Taurus

Some of you who have followed my posts here, know that I started these posts as a way to chronicle our journey of moving back to Idaho, finding a broken down homestead, and the transformational restoration of the land and the buildings on our 23 acres on top of Little Bear Ridge. The posts have also become a way for me to share with all of you, the parts of our lives that make up living, working, and creating at Hunter Moon Homestead.

Using Handmade Watercolors
This past winter, projects slowed to a crawl. Rick and I rested from restoration projects for the first time in many years. I spent most of the winter creating a beautiful spectrum of watercolors, that are now available on the website–for artists who love working with this beautiful medium, and for those who would like to give this medium them a try. There are 36 colors that cover all of the color spectrum and a few great neutrals too. I painted a branch of plums using these colors and hung it in a show at our local community center in Moscow. My piece was voted best in show! I hope you will give them a try and share your works of art with us.

Spring always feels like a shock to my system. I love the quiet of winter, the introspection, the slower pace. Spring energy is the very opposite and I find it a hard transition. I do however love the vibrant greens of every hue that cover the rolling hills and the bursting buds of all the trees. I have a few dozen trays of seeds coming up in the greenhouse and if the weather cooperates, we will have an abundant garden this summer with ALL the veg and some new flowers too!
Embracing Taurus Traits In The New Moon
Our next new moon in the sign of Taurus and in the month of Taurus, that really speaks to me of a powerful time to plant seeds—both physical seeds and metaphorical seeds. Taurus is the second sign in the zodiac wheel, and it has to do with our resources and how we manifest them, use them, build them, and share them. It is a good time to ask yourself how you manage your personal resources (money, material possessions, and self-esteem).
With this moon placement, I am currently asking myself questions like, does the amount of time and energy I spend on my livelihood currently come back to me in ways that are fruitful and meaningful? Am I using my energy wisely in the world? Do I feel drained or energized by my interactions with others? Am I able to properly care for and maintain all aspects of what I possess, or is it time to let some parts of my life go? Has my hard work given to building a venue for creating, healing, and restoring at Hunter Moon Homestead, given those things back to me, or is it time to let that dream go?
I want to be in the trusted flow of what the Universe wants for me. I want to bask in the abundance of life, love, and beauty. All the best to you dear friends! Thank you all for being such a cherished part of my journey.
