A Daily Practice of Forgiveness | Full Moon in Gemini to Cancer

Christmas is about family, generosity, and celebrating the birth of the divine, being channeled through a human form. We are so loved that God gives us the opportunity to connect the mysteries in ourselves by following the teachings of Christ and those like Him.

For so many this holiday with family can be a challenge. We have memories tied up with unmet expectations, trauma, and old tapes that seem to repeat over and over. I have hope for myself that I can find the absolute joy of this season and practice self-love and forgiveness for my family patterns and dynamics that would keep me sad and disappointed.

Head over heart forgiveness prayer

Changing patterns takes some effort. Though I have found that the effort is rewarded in a big way. I am committed to a daily practice of forgiveness, that only takes a few minutes and feels amazing. I encourage you to give it a try and hopefully you will find it healing and helpful too.

  1. Begin by imagining a person you want to forgive in front of you. I cover my hands over my heart one on top of the other. Look into their eyes and say, “Namaste – the divine in me honors the divine in you. We are all created by God, we are all spiritually evolving, this evolution involves time, experience, and learning from our mistakes. I am learning from my mistakes, so can you. God’s love, power, and wisdom be with my soul, and God’s love, power, and wisdom be with you, Namaste.”
  2. Now see that person turning into the most brilliant light and repeat, “Namaste – the divine in me honors the divine in you. We are all created by God, we are all spiritually evolving, this evolution involves time, experience, and learning from our mistakes. I am learning from my mistakes, you will too. God’s love, power, and wisdom be with my soul, and God’s love, power, and wisdom be with you, Namaste."
  3. Place your awareness at your heart and your third eye, and with a deep breath project love to them and say, “You are forgiven, be at peace,." Say this 2 more times. Then add, “May you be blessed with inner peace and healing. May you spiritually grow and learn from your mistakes, Namaste. I forgive you, I release you, God bless you, Baraka Bashad - May the blessings be.”

Forgiveness is powerful medicine for change and transformation. I hope you will give this gift to yourself and use it daily. You might be surprised by the miracles that come to you by using this lovely gift.

Happy Holidays and my Gods love transform you!
