Writing in the Wide Expanse | A Curated Writing Retreat June 22-25th, 2023

Workshops at Hunter Moon Homestead are all-inclusive. Tuition price includes lodging, meals and instruction. Continue below for details:

Join poet and author Libby Wagner for an intimate, curated writing weekend at Hunter Moon Homestead, located in the rolling hills of the Idaho Palouse on the edge of the Bitterroot Mountains.

Writing can happen anywhere, but writing from a landscape that inspires, nourishes, and holds us, creates a unique portal to our imaginations, and offers up a rich and beautiful generative space. Together, we will accept the invitation of the sky, the light, the birdsong, the wide-open spaces of the horizon and our own imaginations.

“Libby Wagner is an accomplished and published writer and hostess extraordinaire! Her credentials might be intimidating were she not such a beguiling and encouraging coach. The program was designed to inspire on the deepest levels, feeding and calling upon all of our senses in myriad ways and within an environment that allowed us to flourish. There were provocative exercises and inspiring activities. This carefully curated, exquisite container is made for an unforgettably rich experience. Already I long to return!” F.B., Retreat participant

Libby’s work has shaped many organizational cultures, including Keurig-DrPepper, Diageo, Philips, Boeing, ST Microelectronics, Oak Ridge National Science Lab and numerous others. She is one of the only poets working in organizations, and she inspires others to access and express their leadership voices to have courageous conversations where they balance truth-telling and compassion.

Libby is a former college professor and founding faculty member of the Institute of Conversational Leadership and Invitas with poet David Whyte, and she was honored as a Nellie Cashman Woman Business Owner of the Year in 2014. She often leads inspiring retreats in Ireland and the Pacific Northwest of the U.S. each year, one for women and one specifically for writers who want to deepen their writing practice and productivity. Her virtual and in-person programs are both inspiring and practical. Libby has been quoted in the New York Times, the Wall Street Journal and Harvard Business Review. Each year she works one-on-one with a limited number of entrepreneurs, solo-practitioners, and writers to create work and lives they love.

Libby is the author of Amazon Best-Seller, The Influencing Option: The Art of Building a Profit Culture in Business (2010), What Will You Do With Your 90,000 Hours? The Boardroom Poet’s Thoughts on Work (2016) and three collections of poems, including Like This, Like That( 2002), Somehow (2012) and Dancing on the Summer Lawn (NP). She collaborates with Irish musician and composer Owen Ó Súilleabháin in live performance and audio recordings. Together they’ve created Harvest (2015), an audio collection of poems and original music, and the genre- breaking Now This (2017), an embodied experience of spoken word poetry.
